Kleinfelder buys Aussie environmental consultant

Global engineering consultant, Kleinfelder has bought Ecobiological Group, a NSW engineering firm specialising in environmental assessment and remediation services.

Ecobiological employs approximately 30 scientists, ecologists and planners. It is headquartered in Newcastle, with another office in Mackay. Each office and its staff will operate as part of Kleinfelder.

Adam Blundell, founder of Ecobiological Group said “We view this as a win-win for us and our respective clients. On one hand, our clients will have access to the robust suite of services and global support offered by Kleinfelder.

“On the other hand, Kleinfelder’s clients will have the local expertise and environmental support from us as they continue to grow in Australia.”

Kleinfelder chief executive, Bill Siegel, said “As we continue to grow in support of our global clients, there has been an increased demand for environmental services in Australia.”

Kleinfelder is an employee-owned global science, engineering and architecture consulting firm with nearly 2,000 employee owners.
