Metso Minerals has launched a range of screens and feeders. In a boost for local manufacturing, it will source the majority of components required from local workshops.

Metso’s new range brings manufacturing Down Under

The new range, dubbed Opti-flo, will be assembled, painted and tested at Metso’s Carrington facility in Newcastle.

The Opti-Flo range includes banana, inclined and horizontal screens as well as feeders and grizzlies. The range offers linear, circular and elliptical motion screens.

Metso said it is shifting its strategy for screen and feeder production for Australia.

The company will look to source components from Australian and global workshops, rather than manufacturing all components in-house.

Metso said this manufacturing model will meet or exceed its quality and reliability benchmarks.
