CNC plasma profile tables for heavy-duty plate cutting

An Australian manufacturer of computer numeric controlled (CNC) routers and plasma cutters, Advanced Robotic Technology, has developed a high definition CNC plasma cutter series.

The HDP plasma cutter offers precise heavy-duty cutting of steel, stainless steel and aluminium and comes with a process area from 3700mm x 1900mm up to 15000mm x 3200mm.
According to Advanced Robotic Technology (ART), the machine delivers economic processing of high-standard cut components with an edge quality that is comparable with laser cutting. Moreover, an efficient fume extraction system ensures the air is kept clean.
ARC has sold a number of HDP CNC plasma cutters to Australian heavy-duty manufacturing shops with the latest installation at Concise Engineering in Perth, an engineering company serving the mining industry.
Power is supplied by HyPerformance Plasma HPR130XD and HPR 260XD from Hypertherm of the USA.
Coupled to the HDP series cutting tables is Hypertherm’s True Hole cutting technology. This technology for mild steel produces better hole quality than that previously achievable using plasma.
“This is delivered automatically without operator intervention, to produce unmatched plasma hole quality that can now rival high dollar laser systems,” said ART. “As an optional extra, the ART HDP series can be fitted with a drilling and tapping combination head, which significantly reduces production times as multiple processes can be carried out on one machine.
ART also offers the economical SMART Plasma XP4000 for mild steel plate cutting up to 16mm with a process area of 3200m x 1550mm.
All ART CNC tables feature an onboard simple-to-learn and use touch screen controller with Advanced Robotic Technology's own ProfileShop controller software. This software is compatible with industry standard G-Code and NC Code, and is also compatible with most tool path generation software.
