Perth workshop on mining due diligence and project evaluation
Two leading mining consultants will run a specialist training course in Perth later this month, focusing on effective due diligence and project evaluation technique
Alison Morely and Mike Warren.
They acknowledge that the effectiveness of this process is critical to early stage exploration and mining project success.
"We're finding many of our clients are requesting a more detailed understanding of the technical side of the due diligence process," SRK Consulting principal geologist Alison Morley said.
"SRK usually provides the independent technical expert opinion in our due diligence studies, but our clients need to fully appreciate the assumptions we make and the processes we use.
"The topics covered in our course enable them to make informed investment decisions."
Morley and principal mining engineer Mike Warren and will run the Mining and Due Diligence course for the first time in Perth on November 17 and 18.
Alison and Mike have 35 years' combined specialist experience in project and exploration valuation, and much of the course will be based on their research and publications in these areas.
The course offers a complete guide to due diligence and project evaluation studies, which are important tools for mining, accounting and finance company staff, as they help to quantify and potentially reduce risk in projects ranging from exploration to mine closure.
SRK ran successful workshops in Singapore recently.
