Manitou to launch MRT telescopic handler
Manitou recently showcased three new rotating telescopic handlers at BAUMA, with the MRT1840 Easy now set for its Australian debut at the CICA Convention in Perth from September 1st to 3rd.
Manitou's rotating telescopic handlers, in 14, 16 and 18 metre models, have a number of new features.
According to Manitou, the machines are equipped with fast and simple compass stabilisers. Combined with their reduced overall length, they ensure minimised obstruction when operating in confined sites.
"To ensure even faster positioning of the MRT Easy, the vehicle is stabilised as soon as the stabilisers touch the ground," stated Manitou's publicity. "The MRT Easy is a totally flexible solution which can be used by a number of operators; Manitou also optionally offers automatic stabiliser levelling."
The stabilisation surface ‘footprint’ area of the Easy series is up to 15.88 square metres. This provides improved stability and thereby offers increased productivity thanks to its improved load chart whilst reducing machine weight.
Manitou has used the “Easy” series launch to develop the interior and exterior design of its 14, 16 and 18 metre models, with the addition of:
- New headlights,
- New dashboard,
- More comfortable cab area (new upholstery and ceiling lighting)
Whilst being simpler, these three models have retained the advantages that have made Manitou rotating telescopic forklift trucks so successful: A “3 in 1” machine that is a maintenance vehicle, a lifting platform and a crane, the very definition of multi-purpose performance and comfort.
