New special interest group for mining services

Hunter-based, Kinetic Information Systems has organised the first of a series of free Special Interest Group (SIG) meetings for mining services companies.

They are designed to inform on current accounting, business and other topical issues for those working in extractive industries.
Planning and adopting greater operational efficiencies in the mining services sector often hinges on access to vital information and support on issues that are identified as significant to business success.
Managing director of Kinetic Information Systems, Alison Burt, said, “The first meeting of the special interest group aims to keep Chief Executive Officers and Chief Financial Officers informed about systems that can be used to add greater simplicity in and dependability of information flows.
“Subsequent meetings will be aimed at issues identified by the members as being of interest to them.”
The inaugural function features high profile speakers including Darren Turner, Partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Philip Stalker, Financial Controller, Valley Longwall International – Conveyor Division that will inform SIG participants on its new job costing systems that have positively impacted on its operational efficiency.
Kinetic Information Systems has a proven track record of more than 20 years in configuring and implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for mining services clients. Kinetic combines its experience of ERP products with in-depth knowledge of the mining services industry to help companies to achieve their business goals. It services mainly mining and mining related clients in Australia and the Pacific.
The Invitation to the first SIG, "Integrated Business Solutions for the Mining Services Industry", is open to all interested companies.
