A ‘new generation’ of remote area accommodation: Coppabella

Provider of accommodation services to the mining, construction and resource industries, MAC Services has touted the development as a “new generation” of remote area accommodation.
The MAC Coppabella Village is located 150 kilometres west of Mackay and provides the region’s surrounding coal mines with modern accommodation. Offering more than a place to stay, The MAC provides guests with resort-style services and facilities.
The company’s Mark Maloney said The MAC’s services and facilities were a step ahead of the rest when it came to quality and style.
“Our Coppabella Village is our largest facility in Australia with over 1,600 accommodation rooms.
“Our innovative approach provides not just a place to sleep but a hospitality service that is breaking the mould of what is typically known as ‘fly-in, fly-out’ accommodation.”
At Coppabella Village guests can enjoy facilities including a multi-function court for playing tennis, basketball and volleyball, a lap and recreational pool, running track, in-house fully equipped gymnasium, access to ‘The HUB’ bar and restaurant, an on-site convenience store and dining facilities.
“These state-of-the-art facilities are being rolled out to all our Villages across Australia, setting the new industry benchmark for the future of remote area accommodation,” said Maloney.
All MAC Villages including the Coppabella facility provide en-suited cabins where guests have the comfort of an air-conditioned private bedroom, with a king-single bed, desk, wireless internet facilities, fridge and television with in-house movies.
