GoFinder SmartSystem
GPS Tracking Service company GoFinder has announced the release of Australia’s first sub $400 “bolt on” security tracking device.
The device is aimed at companies involved in mining, construction, transport and industrial equipment hire.
The compact 14 cm x 7.5 cm x 3 cm GoFinder SmartSystem unit - the size of two packs of cards - operates in conjunction with Globalstar Inc., the world’s largest provider of Mobile satellite voice and data services.
Once installed the GoFinder SmartSystem receives tracking location information from valuable theft risk mobile or unpowered assets, vehicles, boats, equipment, cargo and freight anywhere in Australia via the Globalstar Simplex Satellite Network.
There is no installation cost involved, the unit operates on AA Lithium Batteries giving up to three year battery life.
Gofinder Director Graham Thomas said, “The system is available from $399 on a 24 month contract at approximately 80c per day for morning and evening locations. Bespoke configurations can also be arranged to suit individual business needs.”
The GoFinder SmartSystem transmits real time GPS locations, alarm inputs and engine run-time data via the Globalstar constellation of earth - orbiting satellites, and is not dependent on mobile phone coverage.
